Meet Our Warriors

Individuals living with Sickle Cell disease are often known as Warriors—a name that reflects their strength and resilience. Every day, they battle against their own bodies while also facing skepticism from hospital workers and the public who may not fully understand their condition. In the midst of a pain crisis, they are forced to advocate for themselves, ensuring their voices are heard.

Because Sickle Cell disease is rare, those affected often find solace in the shared experiences of others. Through this connection—and with the support of The Sickle Cell Foundation of Tennessee—they gain strength in numbers, fueling their fight and amplifying their voices.
