MONTHLY BURNOUT SELF-ASSESSMENT
Here’s your monthly self-assessment, built around the three areas most relevant to SCD caregivers: physical and emotional exhaustion, mental load and anxiety, and connection and self-neglect.
A few things worth knowing about how to use it:
- The scoring places you in one of three zones — green, yellow, or red — with tailored next steps for each. The sub-scores by category are just as important as the total, because burnout rarely hits all three areas equally. You might be physically fine but mentally overwhelmed, and that distinction matters for what you do next.
- Most importantly — take it the same week each month, and keep a note of your scores somewhere. A single score is a snapshot. Three or four scores over time will show you patterns: whether things are improving, holding steady, or quietly getting worse before you realize it. That awareness alone is a form of self-care.
