Our Community Garden

The Community Garden initiative seeks to educate families affected with sickle cell disease on alternative healthy food choices and the charge to change purchasing habits for optimum health benefits.

This project is funded under an agreement with the State of Tennessee

Research shows that once individuals are educated and provided access to fresh fruits and vegetables, it provides health benefits that improve their overall quality of life. Additionally, the community garden will produce healthy organic fruits and vegetables for distribution to sickle cell patients living within the food desert.
