The Sickle Cell Foundation, partnered with Qsource, kicked off its first of many educational courses on Saturday, May 20, 2017. The overall topic, or theme, of this first course was Stress Management. Stress is something that impacts people across the world. Often, people who are dealing with the anxieties of stress fall victim to many types of health complications.  Combine being stressed out with living your life with Sickle Cell Disease and you open the door to a whole new world of complications. So it was important for us at The Sickle Cell Foundation of Tennessee and our partners at Qsource to co-host this educational course for the Sickle Cell Community.

Stress Management is vital in assisting a Sickle Cell Consumer to take control of their life. Less stress equals less pain crisis, depression, and any other complications that often arise.  Qsource was vital in assisting us with the goal of educating our community. Qsourse is a purpose driven organization with the mission of serving healthcare communities by driving value, improving quality, and providing innovative business solutions. Which they really did for us.  The success of this meeting really motivated our participants to want to become more involved in the Sickle Cell Community and improve the quality of their individual lives.  The success of this educational course really solidified how important these future courses will be to servicing our community. Please join us and show Qsource and The Sickle Cell Foundation of Tennessee some support as we endeavor to help educate our community on different ways to improve the quality of their lives.
